Tintagel: The Birthplace of King Arthur

Tintagel is a rocky outcrop that sticks out into the sea on the north side of Cornwall. It was built by one of the richest men in Europe in the 13th century because we think he wanted to connect his reputation with King Arthur. rumor had it that King Arthur had been born there at Tintagel and Richard wanted to be part of that story even though King Arthur had happened hundreds of years before before Richard had been alive.
