Is There a Better Way Forward?

Some companies are doing some cool stuff. It's going to take either people demanding it or more probably the law saying you have to do it. The Polluter Pays Principle dates all the way back to 1972 and basically says if you're the one who's manufacturing this plastic bag that gets thrown away in a river, it should be up to you to deal with that. That's a negative externality that's not included in the production cost of that plastic bag.
