The US Treasury Is Unable to Meet Its Obligations Until June
When will the US Treasury simply run out of cash? Secretary Yellen suggested that early June is the potential timeframe for when the Treasury would be unable to get the money. An influx of cash from quarterly corporate tax receipts and non-withheld individual income collections from people working abroad will provide the Treasury with some additional runway. The Conference Board's chief economist, Dana Peterson on Bloomberg TV: There's really not a willingness to compromise.
