There's a scene towards the end where the little sister is telling him to like look back on the whole relationship and think about not just the good parts of it. In the good parts montage it includes him punching the other guy so it's likeYeah his image of like this ideal relationship this like perfect romance includes like oh you know boom I'm the guy I'm a man he says.
