The Flynn Effect on IQ
IQ is not like weight or height. There's no, you know, it's an arbitrary number. It's a number that's purely relative to other people in the population. So if you're alone on a desert island, you're IQ, you've the highest IQ in the world, as well as the lowest IQ. Your IQ is meaningless. The standard has risen on this test so that what would earn you an IQ of 120 in 1900 would now be like in the mentally disabled range.
