Writing Portraits - What I've Learned About Story Telling
When i'm writing, it's always going back to something that's been flickering away there. Even even if i'd never done portraits before, i would still be bringing in everything i've learned about abstract painting. It was a while. So when you started again on this portrait, it felt like you were picking up that journey again. That's such a good point, because i initially called this podcast blank canvas. And then i thought, we don't ever start with a blank canvas or a blank page,. We start from where we've been somewhere. This might be the last body of work that we completed... but we never start completely from scratch again.
