The Denial of Death on Heroism
There's, you know, different people read Becker in different ways. But my feeling was that he was struggling, he was trying to have a conversation with what else was going on in society at that time. You know, the heroism of just getting up in the morning and going to work that, and raising your children and mowing your yard. That's real heroism. And setting up, setting up these super people as our models is sometimes counterproductive.
