The seasons as we popularly conceive of them now are different than they were for the old world celts, who actually only had dto seasons. For the celts, beltane, which is on may first, was the beginning of summer. In saen, otherwise known as halloween, is the beginning of winter. On these days it's said that the veil between the world grows thin. The veil between the human world and the other world. These days are thresholds where the human and the more than human world can meet the famous bard shamen.
