We are turning a hundred billion barrel of oil equivalents per year into micre leaders of dopemine, with not a lot to show for it. The idea of civic, localized, resilient community is absolutely essential, and has massively atrophied. And on the other hand, we can't ignore the politics of empire. We have to kind of do thise intentionally rogressive move back to local, healthy tribalism.
