The Golden Age of Black Television
Fox canceled shows like South Central, which was produced by Ralph Farquhar and Tina Lifford. Jesse Jackson called for a boycott of the network for institutional racism. Fox maintained that the decision to cancel was not racially motivated. After Fox shifted gears, the Golden Age of Black Television didn't end. There were two other new networks that soon picked up where Fox left off.
