"The easiest way to be miserable is to try and control everything around," he says. "If we all cared about ourselves and truly cared about ourselves we'd be happier because we can actually actuate change." He adds that special operations was the current equivalent of 'the code of honor' for him as a kid. The former Marine now works in Washington, D.C., but still lives with his family in New Jersey.
