Alexander flemin was a medical micropologist working at saint mary's hospital in london. He went away for a two weeks summer holiday and left some bacteria, so they knew about bacteria. And he came back to find that some of his bacteria on some of his plates had died. So something had blown from the fountain's abbey pub across the road,. into through the window and landed on his plates. This yeast was a thing called, which he called penicilium yeast. And it produced a chemicalo called pensilin, which killed the bacteria.
