Susie Sue's Armband
Isaac Gillian has always used the moving image to make his art combining history and black identity. Now a major retrospective at Tate Britain brings together four decades of his filmmaking, photography and installations in a space designed by the architect David Ajay. Isaac's latest work explores the relationship between Dr Albert Barnes, African American material and white critic Alan Locke. Here they discuss what we must share with others for it to obtain its full savour.
