Fiddler on the Roof
The structure of Fiddler on the roof pulls you in with comedy at the beginning and then gradually it gets more and more serious. The story is about a father who wants to get his three daughters married off but they do things that are just different from what he thinks should be done. It's really about this thing that's so fundamentally profound about like what do you do as a parent when your children do something that you don't agree with or approve of? "I think she would be pleased that I would have gone to Filoure without my mom," says Ben Ghiat, whose mother used to take him to Broadway musicals.
