The Evolution of Parenting Memes
Before reading Deutsch, I've implicitly known that there was something wrong in the way children retreated at a societal level. It's almost inconceivable to some people to grant this kind of freedom to children. People think our children's brains are not fully developed and therefore that means that we should control them. And then also I guess like parenting is very difficult, like any kind of close relationships are very difficult but parenting is sort of especially difficult.
