The Benefits of Rabies Shots
Rabies is so rare in the United States that pre exposure vaccines are only required for people working around animals like researchers and veterinarians. The process of getting a pre exposure shot was super simple and was paid for by my university. Since I work with bats pretty constantly, I also get a tighter check every two years to check my antibody levels. If the tighter comes back low, then I just go in for a booster shot.
