Is There a European Energy Crisis?
I think that this period of de-globalization and rise in conflict will have effects on inflation over a long period of time. Hopefully we don't have a hot war that's any worse than what we currently have going on in Ukraine because that would obviously cause a sharp spike in inflation. We should expect to see some real problems throughout the emerging world with people just not having enough to eat. And I think that will become a big issue in terms of macro markets and geopolitics when those people start moving to wealthier countries.
