The Difference Between a Preacher and a Sermon
A sermon, i think, tends more to be an announcement of something that the preacher stands under as well as the congregation. I stilllove banhoffer in saying that there's only one preacher, and that preacher's christ. And the sermon enables the risen christ to walk among his people. So the sermon also participates in vocation, a vocative god. For reasons known only to the lord, preaching is just one, is the primary way god seems to get through the people.
