Mornings really are a great time to do that because it helps with your health and it helps orient your body towards the working day ahead of you. I just find that when I exercise before I begin my day in earnest, my mind is more alert. The other thing is journaling. I've written about the spiritual benefits of journaling before and I just really value this for getting the juices flowing as it were with my mind. It doesn't take long."
