The First Day of the Riots

On the first day of the riots, you had to go into work. It took me a couple of years to really absorb and i had to actually watch the t b specials and everything on this event before you could really see it that way. You know, they say you shouldn't write history for a certain period of time but afterwards I still don't think i fully understand what happened. And it's funny how it'll be interesting in 50 years as if i'm 50 year old, as if i'm going to be here,. But i think that will differ from the experience i saw on the ground.
