The Effect of New Technologies and New Techniques on Art and Science

New technologies and new techniques end up affecting the development of some art or science. Which, interestingly, is not something that i think schopenhauer considers at all. He would dismiss any kind of innovation of that sort as mere surface level chicanery. That seems obviously a way that it happens in real life. And i can't even see why.
