The Fed's Fear of a Banking Crisis
The largest banks in the country have been undergoing stress testing mandated by Godfrey called CCAR, a CCAR. And that test is an annual test that each one of the major banks has to go through and plan out what would happen to their balance sheet if let's say certain black, small events were to happen. So for example, if GDP fell by 20% or unemployment rate down by 20%, you know, so the banks have been going under that test for the last 10 plus years. They've been passing by and large and they've really strengthened their balance sheets.
