The crew was highly praised by their success after this accident. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg awarded the crew the keys to the city. Sullenberger through the first pitch of the 2009 baseball season for the San Francisco Giants. In 2013, the entire crew were inducted into the International Air and Space Hall of Fame at the San Diego Air and Space Museum. And Sully's 2009 memoir, Highest Duty, My Search for What Really Matters, was adapted into the feature film, Sully, that was directed by Clint Eastwood in 2016.
