The American Givers Circle

In 2012, I started the first Latina given circle in San Francisco with a group of 16 women that were very interested in supporting women and girls financial empowerment. Every woman was supposed to be given a thousand dollars a year. So $84 a month. Less than $3 a day. Make it doable. It's less than your coffee. And that first year, the given circle gave $10,000 in grants to great grassroots, tiny Latino lead Latino serving nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. From there, we started giving circles across California, until we have the whole Latino given circle network with 23 given circles. We spent two days just learning from each other and saying, okay,
