The Importance of Gifting

We need to look at what are our associations with gifting. Do we have any experiences in there that represent embarrassing or humiliating memories of us sort of failing to give the right gift? For me, my experience happened to me when I was 14 years old. I bought a miniature wooden spindle for my mum at her school's Christmas fair. When she opened the gift on Christmas Day, there was a lot of laughter. And because of my self-esteem, I just wasn't in a position to not take those jokes to heart.
