You Can't Do It. You Cant Do It.

I don't believe it at all that if one remained in Afghanistan and then, you know, had a kind of not prosperous at all, but hopefully down the line, this would be the idea of a prosperous liberal city like Kabul. I mean, 20 years is a long time, but the idea is always that you keep going and you transform society over a long period of time. That's just simply a fact. The transformation of the societies was that no one ever wanted to live under them. And even the ones that remained, like Vietnam, China, they had to pretend that they were the guys that they were fighting.
