The Harvard Personal Score, I'm Going to Jump In, John and Lee
Lee: At Harvard, applicants are given scores on a range of domains of talents or skills. Lee is talking about the fact that Asian Americans as a group score significantly lower than other groups in this personal score. And I think Lee, you're saying that that's actually deliberate, or that's actually a mechanism of exclusion. John: The district court opinion did not say that there was a significant difference between the scores of Asian Americans and other camps. So then are we suggesting that Asian Americans were discriminated in favor with respect to academic rating?
