H. Andrew Schwartz: China seems to be hitting back in the chip war and it's over something called gallium and and geranium. He says these are artificial metals that don't occur naturally but can be made from zinc or bauxite ore. The US imported $5 million worth of gallium metal and $220 million worth of Gallium arsenide last year, he says. Schmitz: This is re-intaliation; I think it's artfully chosen to hurt us and not them.
