Armageddon: A Nuclear Weapons Simulation

With Armageddon, if I remember correctly, they wanted to blow it up. And they then had this simulation that said that if we blow it up, the two pieces will miss. Like you blow it in two. So basically they're not putting an engine or anything. They're just smacking it with a with a space. It does always come back to I don't know why blow it up in deep impacts as well with nukes.
