What Was China in a Crisis in 2012?

I worry that we're seeing the incipient phases of what in five years will be a political crisis for the party. That's why I think the 20th party Congress was such a, you know, put an underlying full stop exclamation mark on the direction that the political system is heading in. And unfortunately you're already seeing the malign knock-on effects evident in Chinese society.
