God's goodness is bigger than just a goodness to you and me as individuals. It's a goodness that overflows one generation and floods the next. John Calvin says God's boundless generosity in showing itself there gives men ample occasion to proclaim his glory. This isn't just some kind of temporary policy, this is a reflection of the kind of God he is.
