The Dynamic at Work in Wendell Berry's Fiction

Wendell Berry is a Baptist, but the kind of Baptist who's suspicious of the church and who critiques John 3 16. He seems to have come to carry religion out of the temples into the fields and sheep pastures. His novels or essays would be speaking to anyone else who's using Christianity in this way. But Berry is informed by a religious understanding.
