The IRS opened an examination of journalist Matt Tyree Beebe's. tax returns from 2018. Three weeks after he exposed sensitive documents about government officials pressuring Twitter to censor its contents, that's when the IRS showed up at his doorstep on Christmas Eve and gave it a little wrap. The House Judiciary Committee said Wednesday it obtained that detail and other information about the case from the IRS following the outcry over a tax agent visiting his house in 2022.
