The Different Types of Focus Structure

There's different kinds of focus patterns that sentences can have and they can get marked both by porosity and word or and by morphology in different ways. What we often are think of when we say focus specifically is what's called argument focus where the focus is specifically on one argument. You also have sentence focus where the entire sentence as a unit is in focus and there is no topic. And then the last and sort of weirdest kind of focus is actually on whether or not the sentence is negative or positive. Different focus and verb focus are kind of after thoughts in a lot of ways both in science and also in the functioning of the language, often something else is co-opted to manage that
