What's Up With the News Week Correction?

i was on vacation in california when i got a call from john meecham at 11:30 p.m. He wanted to know what the correction should be for an article he'd written that had gone awry. I told him, "That's just incompetence on your part" A week later, they did print a correction but it was typically mealy mouthed and unsympathetic. It could have been sam stein who wrote the story; maybe he still works there.
