The Power of Poetry and Reading Out Loud
When you read out loud, the sounds of the words are in your mouth. And that actually mimics what the poet is trying to cultivate. It's more of a holistic experience than just sitting down and copying something out. Although i will say there is something very powerful about copying out poetry. I have a special journal that i will copy out poems that i love,. Or i'll write them out from memory that i love. But i think it's even more powerful to do it with poetry and reading out loud. Yesi doesn't get a lot more intimate than that.
