The Life and Times of Remedios Varro
Girardo Liseraga was imprisoned in a concentration camp during the Second World War. His wife, Remedios Varro, worked tirelessly to have him released from prison. The French government had an intercession program that allowed exiled prisoners to be released with assistance of family and friends. But it proved harder to put in practice than it was to manage on paper.
