The History of the Bed Bug

And allegedly gave rise to the name for coriander because when you crush the fresh leaves and seeds, it's supposed to give off a smell like that of crushed bed bugs. In Germany, newly arrived bed bugs as of the 11th century would be called various names including Nightcrawler, paper flounder, and little venereal.
