"I imagine the sounds of a noisy bar coming from the street below my room but we'll see it doesn't matter because tonight I might be up all night anyway," he says. "It turned out I wasn't in the apartment above the MOSES bar from dusk till dawn no I was actually a few doors away so that's nice isn't it" He then moves on to an O-Rock, which could even be noisier than the MOSes and has lots of like records sort of you know pictures of records of designs on it. 'There'll be a new website coming soon out when that's going to happen'
Friday 6 June this year was the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. My Grandad Dennis was one of the soldiers who landed on the beach that day. Along with thousands of other men he risked his life to fight the Nazis in the 2nd World War. Many of his fellow soldiers did not survive. Last Friday I went to Caen in Northern France to take part in the D-Day commemorations and to see my comedy hero Eddie Izzard performing stand-up in 3 languages. I recorded a podcast during my trip, and some unexpected things happened! Listen to the episode to join me on my adventure.
