Padrinu's Story
Padrinu Rodriguez's mother was hacked to death by a machete while she slept. His father, Padrinu Rodriguez Sr., had been charged with the murder and taken into custody. He stabbed his father twenty-two times - one blow more than he had administered to his wife. A week later, an aunt left him a cake laced with poison as a peace offering. The poisoned cake caused several of his cellmates' dogs to vomit.
