Hegel is thinking very, like on a different plane from Kant, which is sort of the point. And when you start thinking in that way, it's just pretty fascinating that it leads one down the path of looking at desire and lack and negation as psychoanalysis would later do. So to understand how we relate to objects, first we have to understand how We relate to the other.
