Is There Dissonance Between Strong Labor Markets and Disinflationary Push?
There's a lot of dissonance between the strong labor markets that we see and this disinflationary push. We're seeing wages rising pretty rapidly in Europe, but there are real concerns about what that means for wages. In the Euro area, no particular signs yet of wages becoming out of control,. But some concern that with the unemployment rate as low as it is, the lowest on record, that it's only a matter of time before you see wages catching up.
