The Importance of Knowing Yourself
Shankaracharya: All that we need to know is that the self exists. If you know that much, then you can have a confusion about what I am. The arguments are very nice back and forth. But for superimposition to happen, a diaset to happen, it must be unknown. And Shankaracharya says, it need not be an object of perception. You just have to know that you exist.
