The United States' Relationship With Saudi Arabia
The relationship the United States had with Saudi Arabia was very warm. But since Mohammed bin Salman has been, you know, moved his way up the ladder in Saudi Arabia, things have changed. That relationship no longer exists. America just simply doesn't buy enough oil from the Saudis to justify the petrodollar arrangement. The Chinese do. They buy as much oil now from Saudi Arabia than the United States did back in the 70s when thatpetrodollar arrangement was first talked about and was consummated.
