I Think He's Trying to Make It Into High Art
I think it is difficult though because at some level there's a theory that art should be for the masses. But then there are lots of exceptions to that like classical music or whatever. And I think that he is trying to do something with film which is to make it into high art. He submitted one script in which he'd taken out all the god bits to the censor. The censors found out and said you can't produce this with all the god stuff. Yeah. They still gave him more money for another big budget.
