We've been engineering microbes for like 40 years um but nobody has ever engineered a probiotic bacteria that you can eat. The FDA generally recognizes safe bacteria and not necessarily some sort of pharmaceutical correctYeah so it's all about the application and i wouldn't say that we sidestepped it it's that like we basically we decided we weren't going to build a drug right? So with our first product it expresses this enzyme acidity hydrogenates that has no risk of being over expressed if we turn on or off.
