Is There a Different Form of Expertise in Public Policy?
The government has defended itself by saying it was following the advice of its scientific advisors. But do you think that's something we might want to question as well? There is a different way of understanding what good public policy looks like, which is much more about comparison and learning from what has happened elsewhere. And equally, I think that, you know, there was a certain sort of hubris naivety.
