It was the time where people were responding to the aero problem of we can't have democracy because it's an impossibility. And yet all these people who are studying politics and studying institutions are studying market stability, so how could you account for that paradox? You see the rise of going deeper than majority rule go deeper than these general equilibrium kinds of concepts to specific features of the way in which people interact. So I think that's what lent itself to then when I went to IU and working with the Ostrums they completely characterized that whole school and and created it and kept with it when others moved on.
