I find those lines disturbing just because I know that Nietzsche wasn't a man like that. On the other hand, he did know other women in his life, and I mean, who knows? We don't know every last detail of the man's life. It makes you wonder if maybe he was a chronic masturbator, Wagner alleged. He didn't agree with the Christian shame around sex. That's sort of the problem. You've already had that Christian shame introduced to us. Really it has to die away.
