Yung's Symbols of Transformation

Freud and frid split when yung published a book called symbols of transformation. Freud knew that, even to some degree, although he was very much opposed to any sort of religious thinking, ar mythological religious thinking. He didn't like the fact that yung's work started to delve into religious themes in a manner that actually, in some sense, validated those themes. And so freud linked up spontaneous phantasies with myth mythology and phantasy across history.
